In this week’s edition of Tips and Tricks Tuesday we are going to cover the age old question of Editing vs. Recreating your NL Classifieds listings. Editing an existing listing means less typing, less time spent creating and more time $elling. In addition, sticking with your already active listing you will avoid having your new ad potentially suspended (see blog post Feb 26, 2014 for our Over Posting Policy) and also NOT BE removing your ad from other users’ Favourites List! If another user has added your listing to their Favourites List, it will be removed if you deactivate or delete your existing ad to recreate. Instead, if you edit your already active listing, the ad will remain in their Favourites List. This can be very detrimental to you selling, buying or finding what you’ve posted in your listing - don’t shoot yourself in the foot!

ReplyDeleteGreat tips! I’ve definitely found that editing my existing listings is much more efficient than recreating them from scratch. Not only does it save time, but it also keeps my listing active and prevents it from being removed from users’ Favourites Lists, which could really hurt my chances of selling. On a side note, as someone who’s currently preparing for the GRE, I sometimes wish I could just have someone take my GRE exam for me so I could focus on other things like my listings. Thanks for the helpful advice
