Tips & Tricks: How to Rearrange Images in an Ad

In this edition of Tips & Tricks, we'll be going through a step-by-step guide on how to rearrange images on your ads with NL Classifieds.

Once you have your description and contact info on your ad, you can upload and sort images to really make your listing stand out! Once uploaded, you can rearrange them at anytime - remember the first picture will be the thumbnail image that everyone sees on the homepage with your ad.

Images are very important and can be the difference between someone clicking on your ad or passing it by. Even more important is the first image on your ad - this image will be used for the thumbnail (smaller version) image that will be used and seen on the homepage and within the category for your ad. All the images uploaded to an ad can be seen once it is clicked into but within the categories and on the homepage only the thumbnail (first image) is seen. So it is very important to choose the best image and have it first if there is more than one picture on the ad.

Follow along with this edition of Tips & Tricks and we will take you through step-by-step on rearranging images within an NL Classifieds ad.

1. You must be logged into your NL Classifieds account in order to access and edit your listings (ads). You can do this by clicking "Login" at the top right hand corner of the nlclassifieds.com homepage.

2. Login with your full email address (example: meducky@gmail.com) and password.

3. Once successfully logged into your NL Classifieds account, you will see the below screen. Click "My Listings" (circled in red) to see all of your existing ads.

4. You will now see all of your NL Classifieds listings (ads). Here we see 3 active listings, which show as green.
Note: See the Legend on the page for explanation of all possible listing colours.

6. Once you have found the listing (ad) you would like to Edit, click Edit on that ad. This will bring you to a new page (this looks very similar to the Create New Listing page) where you can make all of your Edits including uploading/rearranging your images.

*NOTE*: You will not be able to Edit a suspended listing. You can only Remove it. 

7. On the Edit page you will see this option just below the ad description and expiry date. Click Upload Images to select the photos for the ad. 

8. A small window will then open where you can select from 1-15 images to upload with your ad. Image files accepted include JPEG, JPG, PJPEG, GIF (non-animated). Once you click upload, the image uploader status bar will appear (it is blue and will go from 0-100%). Your pictures are not finished uploading until this status bar reads 100%.

9. Once you have your selected images uploaded, they will appear on your screen as thumbnail versions. 

You can then drag and drop these to rearrange the order you would like them to be displayed. 

*Remember: the first picture will be the title image that all users will see before actually clicking into your ad - so choose wisely!*

10. You can always delete any or all of the images you have uploaded - simply click the delete under the image you would like to remove from your ad. 

11. When satisfied with your uploaded images and the rest of your listing. Click the I Agree box and then click Post to submit your ad! 

8. Congratulations, you have successfully uploaded and organized the photos of your ad!
